I feel happy God sent me this story and let it be the first Hindi movie of 2013 in my list.
I love the story. The songs which are educating. The characters involved upon her family, her journey, her daily classes and the people of New York. There is a character that reflect me the most. Not the main character, of a mother who try her best to improve her English, but the character of her daughter, who freely saying anything to her mom just because she taught she is good enough, yet her mom know nothing. I did that to my mom most of the time. And i cried a lot watching this movie, because i can see my real me in that little girl.
"What right do children have to treat their parents like this? They don't even know the meaning of respect. Am I a trash can, to dump in whatever they feel like? What kind of relationship is this? We do our best to make them happy, and how easily they hurt you in return. Kids are supposed to be innocent, what kind of innocent is this, taking advantage of our weakness. You can teach everything, but how do you teach someone to be sensitive to others?"

When her family hurt her, her friends cheer her. Words totally might change peoples' feelings. Just how words and peoples respond might change the atmosphere.
"And my wife she was born just to make ladoo. What? I am complimenting you. You are born to make ladoo"
"I also cooking. Cooking, selling, cooking selling, a small business in house only, making snacks, ladoo, round round"
"We have an entrepreneur in a class. A person who runs his/her own business. Sashi, you are an entrepreneur. =)"
The story is about a mother of two educational children and husband where she have little weakness in understanding English and talking English. When she tried her best, she became a joke to them and a laughable stock. Her life change when she fly over to New York alone for her niece's wedding. Along her journey and her day there, many characters appears. Some goods, and some rude. Communicating and language become her biggest problem. Things change when one day she saw an advertisement about "Learning English in 4 weeks" from a bus where she decided to make a call and join the class. And the last final exam where everyone are given task to make a short speech change her life completely.
"Meera, Kevin, this marriage is a beautiful thing. It is the most special friendship of two people who are equal. Life is a long journey. Sometimes you will feel you are less than your partner, and same goes to your partner. Try to help each other, to feel equal. It will be nice. Sometimes, married couple don't even know how the other is feeling, so how they will help the other? It means marriage is finished? No, that is the time, you have to help yourself. Nobody can help you, better than you do. If you do that, you will return back feeling equal, your friendship will return back, your life will be beautiful. Maybe you'll be very busy, but have family. In this big world, your small little world, it will make you feel so good. Family can't never be judgemental. Family can never put you down, will never make you feel small. Family is the only one, who will never laugh for your weaknesses. Family is the only place, where you will get, love and respect. "
